Springfield MO will be one of the finishing spots for the Tour of Missouri Pro Cycling Race. Scheduled for September 11-16.
This will be a 600 mile race that is already sanctioned by the USA Cycling the official cycling organization of the U.S. Olympic Committee and also by the Union Cycliste Internationale, the international organization for the sport of cycling.
The second race from Clinton to Springfield on September 12 and will finish in Springfield in the midst of many activities within the city including a health and wellness expo, a family fun ride, educational programs and kids' events.
The cyclist will be coming in from the AB highway across 44 and on into the city from the west after a full circle around Springfield.
I guess Springfield is living up to its name given by Sports Illustrated in 2003 “Missouri Sportstown USA”
