The "2007 May Ball" will be at The Grande Ballroom located in the Historic Vandivort Center on Walnut Street on Saturday, May 12 7:00pm .
The May Ball is sure to be a Magical evening here in Springfield MO, with Ballroom Dance, a raffle for door prizes including a one of a kind painting created just for the 2007 May Ball. There will also be a silent auction in the evening that will including some fun and unusual ballroom dance items. Also Trolley’s Downtown Bar & Grille will provide an array of their best and tastiest appetizers and refreshments.
So put on your dancing shoes, and fine evening wear (Tuxes, and Evening Gowns optional) and join us for a full evening of ballroom dancing fun that even Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire would declare as "Fabulous" while surrounded in the 1930’s style, elegance and grace of the Grande Ballroom.
The door prize painting was provided by the spotlight artist, Gregory Benne, who graduated from Drury College here in Springfield, Mo and is currently the preparator at the Springfield Art Museum. His other artwork will be on display around The Grand Ballroom.
