International Dance Spring 2007 for Springfield MO - 04/21 - 7:00 PM

The International Dance Spring event will be held on Saturday April 21, from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m.

Where - The Plaster Student Union ballroom on the Missouri State campus.
The International Dance will present dances from all over the world performed by Missouri State students.

Many students will be dancing different traditional folk dances, from India ( Kathakali and Adavus steps such as: Taganam, Jaganam, Dhaganam and Sammisram), Africa ( Alokli ), the Middle East (Chelydra, Bandari, Ghawazee dance or gypsy dance) and other regions of the world.
Everyone who comes will have the opportunity to learn these dances.

The International Dance event will benefit Oxfam America (http://www.oxfamamerica.org)
The Oxford Committee for Famine Relief, which was started in England during World War II to provide relief to war victims in Europe. Since then, Oxfams has been established in 12 countries. They continue their work today by sending materials and financial aid to groups aiding the poor throughout Europe. Oxfam America relies almost exclusively on private funding, and do not accept any governmental assistance.

Admission to the event is free but please donate what you can for help.
The students will have baked goods to be sold throughout the evening.

International Students (AIS) is a student body organization that represents the international students and caters to the needs of all Missouri State students by creating a friendly multicultural community.
